Zac Lanning-Tuttle had reached the age of about 80 and 4 months. For some time past she has been ailing and she was cared for by her daughter Mrs. Stutzman. A short time ago a message came stating that she was failing fast and since then her death was expected at any time.

Zac Lanning was married to Wilson Shanon Tuttle on September 28th, 1865, at Iowa City, where they lived until the spring of 1871 when they came to Sioux County. Mr. Tuttle died on Monday, September 18th, 1922. The Tuttles were residents of Sioux County for nearly fifty years and were numbered among the pioneers of Iowa, having gone through all the hardships of the early days.

Mrs. Tuttle is survived by three sons and two daughters, They are E.W. Tuttle of Watertown, South Dakota; Will S. Tuttle of Chicago; Matie (Mrs. F.L. Stutzman) of Britton, South Dakota; Harry O. Tuttle of Cherokee; and Edith (Mrs. Frank) Eisenlohr, Havana, North Dakota.

Deceased was a true wife and mother and a woman of sterling character. She had many friends in Boyden who will regret to learn of her passing away.
