Luvern Lee Tutje, 4 1/2 year old on of John and Leona (Reemtsma) Tutje of near Matlock, was instantly killed May 29 when a truck driven by his father accidentally backed over him.

Little Luvern and his sister were told to go in the house by Mr. Tutje and the two youngster left the scene of the truck to obey. But Luvern, unknown to his father, returned. He got on the fender of the machine and fell off when the truck was started. The wheel ran over the boy from the shoulder down.

Funeral services were held Friday noon at the First Reformed Church in Matlock and burial was made in the Matlock Cemetery.
