Will Tieden was accidentally shot this Thursday forenoon. The charge entered the right side of his abdomen, making a terrible wound.

About 10 o'clock Mr. Tieden and August Vander Hamm's boy, Henry, went for a load of straw. Mr. Tieden loaded his gun and took it along with him. In some manner the gun fell through the rack, striking the hammers and discharging same as above.

Willie Tieden passed away December 5, 1901.

William Tieden of Ireton was shot in the abdomen Thursday morning by a double barreled shotgun which fell through a hay rack on which he was riding. His recovery is doubtful.
