Jake Van Rooyen Rites Set Friday Died Tuesday at Home Farm, at Age 80 Years Funeral services will be held at the home at 1 p.m., and at the Newkirk Reformed church at 1:30 pm. Friday, for Jake Van Rooyen, who died Tuesday at the age of 80 years. Rev. C. Greving will conduct the rites, and interment will be made at Newkirk.

Born Sept. 23, 1873, at Newkirk, Mr. Van Rooyen passed away at the home place south of Newkirk on Oct. 13. He was the son of Walter and Jennie Van Rooyen. Married to Ida Vellenga on Jan. 26, 1898, he was the father of five children, four of whom survive with Mrs. Van Rooyen. They are Kate, Mrs. Herbert Huisman, Hock Valley; Walter of Orange City Jeanette, Mrs. Anthony Van Oort, Orange City; and William of Newkirk. Fifteen grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren, two brothers and two sisters also survive, while three brothers and two sisters preceded Mr. Van Rooyen in death
