Wilfred Fritz Stueven, 90, of Hills, Minnesota, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Wilfred Fritz Stueven was born April 8, 1925, in Sioux County, Iowa, the son of August and Betty (Bahlke) Stueven, He was raised in a farm and attended country school and parochial school. Following his education, he began his career in agriculture. In 1946, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Quarter Master Corps. Following his honorable discharge in July 1847, he went back to farming in the George, Iowa, area.

On September 2, 1955, he married Evelyn Kitchenmaster. The couple made their first home in George, Iowa. Two years later they moved to Rock Rapids, Iowa. In 1964, the family moved to Pipestone, Minnesota. In 1968 they moved to Hills where he continued to farm until his retirement in 1988. Following his retirement the couple moved to Luverne, Minnesota. In June 2013, the couple moved to Tuff Memorial Village in Hills.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harold (Susan) of Hills and Paul (Marlene) of Welcome, Minnesota; a daughter, Marlene (Joe) Quincey of George; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ruben and Kenneth Stueven, and a sister-in-law, Lois Stueven, all of George.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter; parents; step-mother, Kathryn Stueven; three brothers, Marvin, Laverne and Harold Stueven; and three sisters-in-law, Alma, Verna, and Karen.
