Floyd W. Strong, 69, of Hawarden died December 29 at a Hawarden nursing home of a long illness.

Services were at 10 A.M. December 31 in the First Baptist Church. The Reverend Arthur DeNeui officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Strong was born January 6, 1907 in Struble. He operated a body shop many years in Hawarden. He married Dorothy Hile on May 19, 1924, in Hawarden. She died in 1966. He married Sally Kiewell on June 25, 1971 in Akron.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. LaRae Walker of Humbolt, Mrs. Duane (Delores) Jurrens of Hawarden, and Mrs. Edward (Darlene) Hartman of Alcester, South Dakota; a son, Roger, of El Paso, Texas; 16 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; two brothers, Lloyd and Harry, both of Hawarden; and five sisters, Mrs. Daisy Waterman of Hawarden, Mrs. Pearl Mann of Sioux City, Miss Mildred Strong of Hawarden, Mrs. Madeline Harn of Omaha and Mrs. Fern Hoftezer of Sioux Falls.
