Jennie Struyk of Sheldon died on Sunday, July 15, at the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn.

Funeral services were at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 18, at the First Reformed Church in Boyden. The Reverend Matthew Draffen officiated.

Jennie Struyk, the daughter of Herman and Nancy (DeGroyer) Ver Hoef, was born May 9, 1903 near Leota, Minnesota. On March 18, 1931, she married Arie Struyk in Boyden. The young couple made their home on a farm near Boyden for many years. When they retired they moved into Boyden. Arie preceded her in death on February 26, 1976 in McAllen, Texas. Jennie moved into the Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon in the 1980s. She later became a resident of the Oak Park Care Center in Sheldon before moving over to the Prairie View Retirement Home in Sanborn in January 2001.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Boyden.

Survivors include a son, Robert and his wife Struyk of Minneapolis, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Arie Struyk of Boston, Massachutes; Damon and his wife Angelique Struyk and Elizabeth Struyk, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota; also nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and five brothers.
