Funeral services held Monday for P. Druyvesteyn Funeral services were held Monday, May 4. at the First Reformed church for Peter Druyvesteyn, 78, who died last Friday at the Grossmann hospital, where he had been a patient for several days. Rev. H. Colenbrander officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were Gerrit Te Grotenhuis, Gardie Wiersma, . John Buurman, Conrad Jacobs, Andrew Jensen, and Earl Smith. Burial was made in the Orange City cemetery with Van Etten funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Peter F. C. Druyvesteyn, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francois C. W. Druyvesteyn, was born July 22, 1880, on the homestead farm north of Alton. He was also raised near Alton and moved to the County Home ten years ago.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. James Schuller of Orange City; three brothers—Herman of Rock Valley; John of Ocheyedan; and William of Hospers. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters—Mrs. Francis Barkes, Mrs. Nick Ketel, and Mrs. J. T. De Jong.
