Former Sioux Center Man Dies in Mich.
Sioux Center people were shocked Monday afternoon when word was received that Mr. Tony Droog a former Sioux Center resident had passed away at his home in Grand Rapids MI, very suddenly early Monday morning.

The telegram came to Mr. and Mrs. Maliepaard at about three o’clock Monday afternoon and gave no details concerning his death, but it is thought by the family that he had a heart attack as he had been somewhat weakened for some time.

He had reached the age of 33 years and is survived by his wife the former Nellie Maliepaard and four small children Frederik, Ronald, Annette and Alvin Jay, also his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Droog and two brothers Peter and Cornie and three sisters Mr. John De Bruin, Mrs. Nelles Rozeman and Mr.s Gardie Vander Sloot all of the Grand Rapids area.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the First Chr Ref. Grandview church with Rev; Monsma officiating.

The Droogs had been living at Grand Rapids for the past three years. Mrs. Maliepaard left from LeMars on Monday evening to attend the funeral services.
