Vernon L. Droog LA CROSSE, WIS.- Vernon L, Droog, 63, of La Crosse, ,Wis. died in his home on April 27, 1988. He was born in Hull on Dec. 3, 1924 to John and Ada Droog. He was a graduate of Hull High School. In February 1943 he enlisted in the Navy. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Navy Unit Commendation before his discharge in 1946. On February 9, 1945 he married Beverly Goff of Eau Claire, Wis.

He was co-founder of DS Electrical Supply and served as its general manager and president. He was a past governor of the National Association of Electrical Distributors. He was a member and past elder and trustee of the First Presbyterian Church of La Crosse, a member of the American Legion Post 52, a lifetime member of the La Crosse Lions Club and past governor of Wisconsin Lions District 27E.

Survivors include his wife; five sons Daniel of Onalaska, Wis., David J. of Owatona, Minn., Mark L and Michael S. both of La Crosse and Matthew J. of Clarion, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; his mother of Hull and a brother Chester J of Cerritos, Cal. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Services were held on April 30, 1988 at the First Presbyterian Church, La Crosse, Wis.
