Sally Storie, 76, Iowa City, a former Orange City resident, died Saturday at Lantern Park Care Center, Coralville, after a lengthy illness.

Her body was cremated and services were held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Storie was born August 11, 1905, in Iowa City, the daughter of Rollie and Elsie (Prost) Bayless. She attended Iowa City Schools and was employed for a time as a dietician with the University of Iowa Hospitals. She married Dr. David Q. Storie III in 1929 and they made their home in Orange City where he was a dentist. She returned to Iowa City after his death in 1957.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Iowa City Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine, was a Mercy Hospital Guild volunteer and an Old Capital volunteer.

She is survived by a son, Colonel David Q. Storie, Fort Benning, Georgia and two grandchildren.
