MRS. GEORGE STORIE, A FORMER RESIDENT PASSED AWAY IN WYOMING

Mrs. George (Susan Rawson) Storie, a pioneer resident of this community, passed away this week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Heald, at Gillette, Wyoming, and her remains are being brought here for burial. Brief services will be held here at 1:30 Friday afternoon and interment will be made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

The Storie family came here in the late 70’s or early 80’s and for a number of years owned and operated what is known as the old Corson farm, four miles northwest of town. They sold this place in the late 80’s to W.B. Corson and purchased the place known as the J.J. Brunskill farm, just north of Hawarden, which they operated for a number of years. Mr. Storie died here in 1911 and since . Susan Storie has made her home with her daughter.

Besides Mrs. Herald, she is survived by one other daughter.
