Tony Driesen February 7, 1913—July 22. 1995 Tony Driesen, 82, of Orange City died Saturday, July 22, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, at the Alton Reformed Church at Alton, with the Rev. Robert Vander Schaaf officiating. Additional
services and burial were Monday, July 31, at Sunnysjde, Washington.

Driesen was born February 7, 1913, in Rock Valley, the son of John and Hentje (Bouhof) Driesen. He married Marie Vande Vegte at Rock Valley on February 17, 1937. The couple farmed at Rock Rapids, Rock Valley and Leota, Minnesota. They moved to Chino, California, in 1956 where they operated a dairy until 1971. They they moved to Sunnyside where they continued in the dairy business until they retired in 1979. She died June 8, 1984, at Sunnyside.

He married Florence Rienstra Vander Wilt at Sunnyside on February 14, 1987. They made their home in Orange City. He was a member of the Alton Reformed Church. In earlier years, he had been a member of Christian Reformed Churches in Rock Rapids, Chino and Sunnysjde. He had served on the church consistories as an elder.

Survivors include his wife; three sons and their wives, Art and Carolyn, John and Thelma and Alvin and Peggy, all of Sunnyside; a daughter and her husband, Marlene.ancl Ron Brink of Caledonia, Michigan; a sister, Rolena Vande Vegte of Rock Valley; three stepdaughters and their husbands, Audrey and Cliff Vander Zwaag and Jan and Kenn Top, all of Denver, Colorado, and Lila and Scott Simmelink of Orange City; two stepsons, Gary and his wife Vicky Vander Wilt of Eldora and Daryl Vander Wilt of Sioux Center; 16 grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three step great-greatgrandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. Memorials have been established in his name with Sioux County Hospice and American Cancer Society.
