Henrietta Driesen Henrietta Driesen, age 86, of Rock Valley, died Sunday. June 5, 1994 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital at Rock Valley. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Netherlands Reformed Church al Rock Valley. Burial will be at the Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley. Rev. John den Hoed will be officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday with the family present 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Porter Funeral Home at Rock Valley.

Henrietta was born May 15, 1908 at Hull, Iowa, daughter of Henry and Kate (Vis) Leusink. She married John E. Driesen on March 5, 1936 at Hull, Iowa. Together they farmed in the Rock Valley area until retirement on April 18, 1977 when they moved to Rook Valley. John died July 26, 1984. Henrietta was a Poster Grandparent at Hope Haven for 16 ½ years.

Surviving relatives include three sons and their wives, Edwin and Gertrude of Ephrala, Washington, Harvey and Mary of Rock Valley, IA, Harold and Joann of Sioux Center, IA; one daughter and her husband, Kathleen and John Vande Hoef of Rock Valley, IA; three sisters, Hattie Berghorst of Hull, IA, Katherine and her husband Steven Vos of Sioux Center, IA, Jeanette Leusink of Sioux Center, IA; three sisters-in-law, Geneveive Leusink of Sioux Center, I A, Tena Leusink of Hull, I A, Gertrude Leusink of Sioux Center, IA; one brother-in-law, Abe Beukelman of Sioux Center, I A; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, John E.; two grandchildren, Erwin and Michelle Driesen; five brothers, Peter, Gerrit J., William, Gerrit H., and John Leusink; two sisters, Grace De Weerd and Gertie Beukelman.
