Clarence Disbrow Died Suddenly in Des Moines Tuesday
Clarence Disbrow, about 60 years of age, an early resident of Alcester and Hawarden, passed away Tuesday afternoon in the home of his son, Maxwell Disbrow in Des Moines, following a stroke. His remains will be brought to Alcester and funeral services will be held at the Congregational church there Friday afternoon. Burial will be at Alcester.

Clarence Disbrow, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Disbrow, was born at Alcester and spent practically all his life there with the exception of a few years in his young manhood when the family resided in Hawarden, About 35 years ago he was united in marriage with Miss Ethel Morgan and to this union were born five children. One son, Arthur, was accidentally killed when a lad about 13 years of age.

The other four children who survive him, are Mrs. Marian Barry, Mrs. Bernice Morris and Maxwell Disbrow of Des Moines, and Mrs. Lowell Larson of Hawarden.

Mrs. Disbrow died when her youngest daughter, now Mrs. Larson, was but 10 months old and she was raised in the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Morgan of Hawarden.

Later he married Gwen Eastman and to this union were born four children, all of whom live in Texas. They are Allen, Alice, Daniel and Lawrence Disbrow. Besides his children he is survived by his aged father, A. S. Disbrow, and one brother, Dale Disbrow of Alcester, and a foster sister, Mrs. B. W. Brunt of Occoquan, Va.
