Disbrow, Bessie Mrs. Arthur Dale 1882-1921

Hawarden Independent of Nov 24, 1921

Mrs. Dale Disbrow Succumbs to Blood Poisoning Hawarden friends of Mrs. Dale Disbrow were greatly grieved to learn of her death which occurred last Thursday in a hospital in Minneapolis, following an illness of two Weeks from blood poisoning. She went to Minneapolis to care for her sister, who was ill, and while there received an infection which caused her death.

The remains were brought to Alcester and funeral services were held there Sunday afternoon at the home of A. S. Disbrow, conducted by Rev. Wakefield, pastor of the Congregational church at that place, and interment was made in the Alcester cemetery.

Bessie S. Fosgate was born Jan. 20, 1882, so had reached the age of 39 years, 9 months and 17 days. A part of her girlhood was spent in Hawarden and she attended the public schools here.

More than twenty years ago she was united in marriage with Dale Disbrow, then also a resident of Hawarden. Most of their married life they spent at Alcester, however, but only last spring they purchased a home at Madison, S. D., where they have since resided.

Besides her husband she is survived by six children, the youngest being but about 3 years old. The Independent joins with other Hawarden friends in extending sincere sympathy to the grief stricken family.
