Albert Dirks Dies Here At Age of 74 Albert Dirks, 74, died Saturday at the Jacobs Nursing home In Hawarden following a heart attack. Mr. Dirks had been a patient in the home for about a year. Rev. H. W. Krieger of St. Paul's Lutheran church of Ireton officiated at the services with burial in the Ireton cemetery. Before coming to Hawarden Mr. Dirks lived at Ireton where he was engaged in the carpenter trade.

He was born in Plymouth county. Survivors are four brothers, Henry and Fred Dirks of Ireton, George of 5R Madison, S, D., William of Merrill and Richard of Le Mars.

Note: According to a report on ancestry.com (by others) his parents were Harm Albert Dirks and Mary Maria Johanna Brands.
