Mr. and Mrs. Emil Steinfadt Lost Two-Year-Old Daughter

Minerva Maxine, 2-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Steinfadt, residing northeast of Hawarden, died at(illegible) had pneumonia that developed Saturday evening after a week of a severe cold. She was born on November 17, 1930. On New Year's Day, 1931, she and her twin sister, Mineva Marjorie, were baptized.

She is survived by her grief stricken parents; one brother, Orland; the twin sister, Mineva Marjorie, and a baby sister, Helen Catherine. The sincere sympathy of the community goes out to the members of the family in their sorrow.

Funeral services were held at the Ross Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and at Trinity. Lutheran Church in this city at 2:30, conducted by the pastor, Reverend George Steinkamp. Interment was made in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Death saddened the home of Emil and Minnie (Heuer) Steinfadt of Eagle Township when Minerva, their little two year old twin daughter passed away quite suddenly at 7 o'clock A.M. Sunday, December 18.

Minerva had been ill as well as her little twin sister with a throat affliction but was gaining in strength and was well enough to be up Saturday and about playing. Late Saturday afternoon she became ill again and on Sunday morning death suddenly came to take this fair child from the home and arms of loving parents.

Minerva and her twin sister Mineva were born November, 1930, in Eagle Township. She lived all of her brief life in this community. She was of a loving disposition, and the larger of the two children. She was a favorite with parents, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from Ross Funeral Parlors at 2 o'clock P.M. Tuesday, December 20 and at the Lutheran Church at 2:30, with Reverend Steinkamp officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Hawarden Cemetery.

She is survived by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Sympathy is extended to the sorrowing ones in their great loss.
