RITES HELD LAST SATURDAY OF JOHN STEINFADT

Funeral services for John F. Steinfadt, 77, who died November 28 at the Hawarden Hospital, were held at the Associated Church last Saturday with Reverend Herbert Young officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hal Shoemaker was organist, and Mrs. Ralph Gregg, Jr., sang “In the Garden” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Casket bearers were Ernest Van Driessen, Dick Van Wyk, Arthur Heuer, Alfred Will, Howard Nygard and A.E. Pereboom.

Mr. Steinfadt was born June 10, 1891, in Plymouth County. He married Jennie McPherson December 7, 1917, in Hawarden. She died May 16, 1966. The couple farmed in the Akron area until 1929 and in the Hawarden area until 1963 when they retired and moved into town.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Kluter of Ireton; two brothers, Emil of Hawarden and Herman of Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Klave of Akron and Mrs. Harry Johnson of Ireton and two granddaughters.
