Henry W. Stapenhorst, 77, of Hospers died Thursday in a Sheldon Hospital after a short illness.

Funeeral services were held Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hospers. The Reverend Vern Stapenhorst and the Reverend Eugene Ceperly officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Parish Cemetery, Hospers. The Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stapenhorst was born August 5, 1902, in Hospers. He married Margaret Robinet February 1, 1927 at Hospers. He farmed in the Hospers area all his life.

Survivors include his widow; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alice Stapenhorst of Hospers; three sisters, Mrs. Leo (Johanna) Reuier, Mrs. Bill (Nellie) Jungers and Mrs. Agatha Auchstetter, al of Hospers; two brothers: Peter of Hospers and Carl of Sheldon, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
