Donald Stapenhorst, 46, Hospers, died January 20 at a Sheldon Hospital after a two week illness. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. January 22, at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Reverend Eugene Ceperly officiating. Burial in the church cemetery will be under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen.

Mr. Stapenhorst was born May 20, 1928, at Hospers and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a farmer. He married Alice Hoffmann November 9, 1949, at Hospers.

Survivors include the widow; a son, David, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Loyd (Carol) Hofmeyer of Everly and Mrs. Randy (Jane) Gesink of Hospers; a grandchild, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stapenhorst of Hospers.
