Mrs. Jacob "Jake" Stander, nee Wesliena "Lena" Ter Horst, died Saturday night at about one o'clock, at the age of 43 years. She suffered with tumor in the stomach and it was the intention that she would undergo an operation this week. Although her illness was quite serious, her death came suddenly.

On Saturday evening she did some household work and went to bed at the usual time. A couple of hours death came.

She is survived by a husband and five children, an aged father, J. H. Brinks, three brothers, John and Gerrit Ter Horst and Henry Brinks, three sisters, Mrs. E.D. Vermeer near Middleburg, Mrs. J. Schoep and Mrs. O. Van Roekel.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 P.M. at the house and at 2 P.M. in the First Reformed Church.
