Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Hull October 28 for Bartel Soodsma, 67, of Hull, who died at the Sheldon Hospital October 25.

Services were conducted by the Reverend B.J. Haan and burial was made in Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Mr. Soodsma was born in Kansas March 27, 1905. He married Agnes Boersma March 21, 1929, at Doon. He farmed for many years and later sold insurance.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Evelyn) Van Ginkle of Hull, Mrs. Cornie (Jean) De Jong of Sanborn, Mrs. Roger (Arlene) Dykstra of Sioux Center; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, John and Henry of Hull; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Feenstra of Sibley, Mrs. Clarence (Mable) Koele ad Mrs. Ed (Irma) Scholten of Hull.
