The Alton Democrat published another obituary for her on September 29, 1933, this time calling her Mrs. Tryntje Hulst, born October 19, 1839 in Staphorst. It adds that she loved to work in her garden, and took care of her garden plot up until just a few days before her death. It shows the same photo as in De Volksvriend, but fuzzier.

“She was one of those citizens whose influence and example were of great benefit in the development of this county. She is missed by hundreds of old time friends, as well as by her devoted family.”
