MRS. DONKERBROOK DIES AT AGE 54

Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva J. Donkerbrook, 54, of Sioux Falls, sister of Arnold Lundgren of Hawarden, who died at her residence there Wednesday evening, were held at 1 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Calvary Cathedral church, Dean Harry W. Henning officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn cemetery at Sioux Falls.

Mrs. Donkerbrook was born at Alcester February 12, 1908. On November 28, 1924, she married Lloyd Barr in Sioux Falls. They were residents of Sioux City until 1937 when they moved to Sioux Falls and opened the Beauty and Barber Wholesale Supply company. He died July 27, 1954.

On February 22, 1958, she married Egbert Donkerbrook in Vermillion. She had beauty shops in Fargo, Sioux Falls and Montana and was president of the Beauty and Barber Wholesale Supply company.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Emer [Elmer?] Lundgren of Hawarden and Algot Lundgren of Alcester; a sister, Mrs. Abbie Berglund, and her parents.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Gary Barr of Sioux Falls; a sister, Mrs. Eddie Collar of Sioux Falls; a brother, Arnold Lundgren of Hawarden; six grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. John Chalfant of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Wendy Donkerbrook of Jackson, Mich., and a step-son, Tom Donkerbrook of Sioux Falls.

Attending the funeral from Hawarden were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lundgren and boys, Ed Lienhart and two daughters, Mrs. Olive Lundgren and Irvin Berglund.
