From the Boyden Reporter, July 14, 1960:

Held Graveside Service for Day Old Doorenbos Baby

Graveside services were held Monday afternoon for the day old baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Doorenbos of near George, at the Boyden cemetery. The baby was born Saturday, July 9th at the Sheldon hospital and passed away that evening. Those who mourn are her parents and a brother, besides a host of other relatives.

MARILYN JUNE DOORENBOS

Funeral services were conducted at the Boyden cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday, July 11, for Marilyn June Doorenbos, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen [Glenn] Doorenbos of near George, who died Saturday evening, 8 hours after birth at the Sheldon hospital.

Services were conducted by the Rev. John Irwin, pastor of the United Presbyterian church at Boyden, and burial was made in the Boyden cemetery under the direction of Cooperative Funeral Service of Sioux Center.
