LAWRENCE DOORENBOS

Lawrence Doorenbos, 76, son of Mr. and Mrs. John (Winnie Bleeker) Doorenbos, passed away Thursday, June 4, 1981 in the Sheldon Nursing home. Services were Monday, June 8, 1981 at the United Presbyterian Church at Boyden. The Rev. Daniel Meyers officiated. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery.

Mr. Doorenbos was born Nov. 5, 1904 in Boyden. He married Elsie Schafer March 21, 1928 in Orange City. He was a retired farmer and a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie; 2 daughters, Lois, Mrs. Wm. Kuiper of Boyden, Beverly, Mrs. Ronald Kruger of Sibley; 3 sons, Glenn of Sibley, Harlin of Sheldon and Donald of Boyden; 1 sister, Winifred, Mrs. Gerald Dykstra, Bellflower, California; 3 brothers, Richard, Jake and Theodore all of Boyden; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 3 brothers, 2 sons, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
