Theodore Schwebach Sr., life long resident of the Granville, Anton and Hospers vicinity, died Saturday, August 22 at the University Hospital in Iowa City where he was taken July 8th.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday morning at St. Anthony’s Church, Hospers, with burial in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Ted Schwebach was born December 10, 1884, at Granville. He married Anna Niichel September 29, 1908 and nine children were born to the couple, of whom seven survive, together with Mrs. Schwebach. The children are: Marie, Mrs. Chester Lundquist of Paullina, Theodore Jr. , Anton; Ambrose, Sheldon; Leonard, Long Island, New York; Clemens, Long Beach, California; Viola, Mrs. Joe Wersinger, Starbuck, Minnesota; and Lawrence of Hospers; also surviving are 31 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Bertamus, Dell Rapids, South Dakota; and five brothers: Nick and Peter of Granville, John of Minneapolis, Jake of Wilmar, Minnesota and Louis of Paullina. A daughter died in infancy and Raymond was killed when he wandered onto the railroad track and was hit by a train while the family was living in Alton.
