RITES THURSDAY FOR MRS. WALBURGA SCHWARZ

Funeral services for Mrs. Walburga Schwarz, 80, who passed away Thursday afternoon at 2:30 in the Le Mars Hospital, following a protracted illness, were held at St. Joseph Church Monday morning at 9:30. Reverend N.J. Becker officiated at the Requiem Mass.

Walburga Thoma was born in Germany, came to Peru, Illinois at the age of 15, later coming to Granville, where she was married to Henry Schwarz, who began farming in the Granville community. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Christian Mother Confraternity.

Surviving are nine sons and three daughters: Henry of Le Mars, Lawrence of Slayton, Minnesota, Aloysius, Frank, Robert and George of Granville, Milo of California, Norbert of Elkton, South Dakota, Kenneth of Oyens, (Grace) Mrs. A.J. Obermann of Sioux City, (Anna) Mrs. Ray Mulder of Elkton, South Dakota, (Elizabeth) Mrs. Henry Miller of Anton, one sister, Mrs. Anna Niichel of Granville, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband and a daughter Walburga preceded her in death.
