Mrs. F. W. Schultz, 92, passed away at her home on Tuesday evening, May 19, 1942 at 11:40 o'clock, after a lingering illness of 5 years.

Mrs. Schultz, Margaret M. Smeenk was born on July 31, 1849 at Pella, Iowa. She was the daughter of Jacob Smeenk and Hendrika Sylvester Smeenk and was the last member of the Smeenk family.

In 1868 she was united in marriage to Frederick W. Schultz at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa by Reverend Mr. Schmidt. To this union four children were born.

In the year 1880 they moved to Kansas City, Missouri where Mr. Schultz died in the year of 1884 at the age of 49 years.

In this same year, Mrs. Schultz and her children moved back to Pella, and in 1888 she and the children came to Orange City and spent the rest of her days in this community.

She was preceded in death by 3 children, one died in infancy, Hattie at the age of 11 years and Lyda, Mrs. J. T. Klein, who died 3 years ago.

Surviving her is one son, W. W. Schultz who has lovingly cared for his mother the past 29 years.

She leaves 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 o'clock p. m. at the home of W. W. Schultz with Reverend Mr A. Rozendaal from Maurice officiating.
