Funeral services for Mr. John William Schuurman were held on Monday at the home and at the First Reformed Church in Hull, with the Reverend William C. De Jong in charge. Pall bearers were the nephews of the deceased.

Mr. Schuurman had been ill in bed for seven weeks and passed away on Friday, November 30, at his home at the age of sixty-four years, nine months and 12 days.

Mr. John William Schuurman, the son of Arnold and Gerritje (Van Dronkelaar) Schuurman was born February 18, 1887 in the Netherlands. He came to this country at the age of five years. He had spent all of his life, with the exception of the first five, in this vicinity.

He leaves to mourn three brothers and two sisters: John of Doon, Grace, Mrs. William Scholten, Marinus and Gertie, all of Hull, and Edward of Inwood; and a host of loving nephews and nieces.

His parents, one sister and one brother preceded him in death.
