Mrs. Frederick Schuurman, nee Fenna Huisken, passed away at her home at Orange City on Thursday, January 27, after a brief illness.

She was born on November 5, 1871 at Itterbeck, Grafschaft Bentheim, Germany. On September 29, 1901 she was united in holy wedlock to the Reverend Frederick Schuurman. In the Spring of 1912 they migrated to this country and first settled at Renville, Minnesota. Since then they have resided at Ireton, Iowa, Clara City, Minnesota, Middleburg, and for the last nine and a half years at Orange City.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, the Reverend Frederick Schuurman, two sons, the Reverend J.F. Schuurman of Grand Rapids, Michigan and J. Henry Schuurman of Denver, Colorado and three daughters: Mrs. Henry J. Wissink of Boyden, Miss Augusta Schuurman of Chicago, Illinois and Mrs. Hilbert Bloemendaal of Alton and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City Monday at 2 P.M. with Reverend R. Bronkema officiating. Interment was in the local cemetery.
