Mrs. John Schumacher of Sioux City, who for many years lived at Chatsworth, died suddenly at her home about 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. She was bottling tomato juice when she was stricken. She remarked to Mr. Schumacher that she felt faint and he caught her as she was about to fall. She died in her husband's arms.

Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Boniface Church in Sioux City with the Reverend Frederick Beck officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hawarden.

Mrs. H.J. Schumacher, Mrs. Effel Westover, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dalgliesh and Mrs. H.B. Dalgliesh of Chatsworth, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Schumacher and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vogelzang of Hawarden, and Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Schumacher and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schumacher of Alcester, attended the funeral.

Mary Westover was born in Plymouth County June 16, 1876, and so was past 66 years of age at the time of her death. She grew to young womanhood in the Chatsworth vicinity and was married to John Schumacher of that place. After her marriage she lived in Chatsworth many years when Mr. Schumacher operated a meat market. She moved to Sioux City 18 years ago and lived there continuously since that time.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elvira Dowd, and Mrs. Bernadine Fogle of Sioux City. There are five grandchildren. One son, John, preceded her in death as did two brothers, John and Joe Westover.
