MRS. William RIPHAGEN, 76

Mrs. William Riphagen, nee Lena Meijerman, passed away at her home on Wednesday evening, Feb. 13, 1952, at the age of years, 3 months and 18 days.

She was born at Olst, Netherlands, on October 26, 1875 and married Mr. Riphagen in the year 1891. The family came to America 44 years ago. They first lived at Sibley, Iowa, for 12 years, moved to Maurice where lived for 4 years, and then came to make their home in Sioux Center.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, and four children, Johanna (Mrs. Henry Kamerman), of Sioux Center, Joe of Sioux Center, Gerrit of Maurice and William Jr. of Hull. Also 20 grandchildren and 0 great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by a sister, Mrs. Tim Vander Worpe of Brooklngs, South Dakota, and also three brothers and two sisters who live in the Netherlands. She was preceded in death by a daughter Dena, (Mrs. Ed Roghair) who died April 24, 1951.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the home and at the First Reformed Church, Reverend P. A. De Jong officiating. Burial took place at the local community cemetery, with the Co-op Burial Association in charge of the arrangements. Six of her grandsons were the pallbearers, Clarence Harms, Art Kamerman, Paul De Jager, Ed Roghair Jr., William Riphagen Jr., and John Voortman.
