From the Sioux County Index (Hull), March 6, 1931:

Mrs. C. C. Schaap Dies Following a Short Illness

Mrs. C. C. Schaap died at her home Monday morning after a short illness from some infection. She had been ill only a short time.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the home at 1:30 and from the Christian Reformed church immediately following that at the home. The service was in charge of Dr. Haan and was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends . Burial was in Hope cemetery at Hull.

Mrs. Schaap was a kindly old lady [who] had reached the age of sixty-one years, and was beloved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband and one son C. B. Schaap of the First National Bank.
Sincere sympathy is extended by the entire community to the grief stricken husband and son and family.

From the Alton Democrat, March 6, 1931, Hull news:

Mrs. C. C. Schaap passed away at her home in West Hull Monday evening during the supper hour. She had not been feeling well for the past week and the doctor pronounced her case as brain fever.

FindaGrave.com has her as Tryntje “Katie” Bos Schaap. Biographical notes (no source given) say she is the daughter of Reltje & Tryntje (Groendyk) Bos; married Cornelius J.[i.e., C.] Schaap on May 2, 1891 in Grundy County, Iowa; they had one son, Cornie B., born May 30, 1893.

Her death certificate has her as Kate Schaap, wife of C. C. Schaap; born February 23, 1870 in Holland; parents Ralph Bos and Treintje Groen; died in Hull at 6:45 p.m. March 2, 1931; cause, influenza.

A birth record on WieWasWie.nl shows Trijntje Bos, born 23 Feb 1870 in Terschelling, Friesland; parents Reltje Cornelis Bos and Trijntje Cornelis Groendijk.

The 1925 Iowa state census also calls her Kate Schaap; parents R. C. Bos and Tryntje Groendyk.

The 1900 U.S. census for Washington Township, Butler County, Iowa shows Cornelius Schaap, born Sep 1862 in Holland, immigrated 1869, naturalized, married 9 years, a farmer; wife Trientje, born Feb 1870 in Holland, no immigration year given, mother of 1 child, living; son Cornelius, born May 1893 in Iowa. The 1910 census shows her as Kate Schaap, immigrated 1882.
