Funeral services for Mrs. Johannes "Joe" Rexwinkel, who died at the Convalescent Home in Ashton Thursday at 8:30 p.m., were held on Monday afternoon in the Reformed Church of Alton.

Reverend Norwood Reck, pastor of the Trinity Reformed Church of Orange City officiated in the absence of Reverend Ralph Meyer, pastor of the Reformed Church at Alton, of which Mrs. Rexwinkel was a member.

Mrs. Rewinkel was born Susan Kuyper, the daughter of pioneer parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arie Kuyper at Pella, July 23, 1864 anc came to Sioux County at the age of 18. She was married to Joe Rexwinkel November 18, 1885 and three children were born to them. One died in infancy. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Dena (Mrs. Henry Muyskens) of Orange City, and one son, John Rexwinkel of Alton. There are seven grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Rexwinkel was the last living member of the Arie Kuyper family of six daughters and three sons.

Although 94 years at the time of her death, Mrs. Rexwinkel's mind was alert until the end.
