Funeral services for John Irvin Raynie, who died Tuesday of last week, were held at the home at 1:30 and at the Baptist Church at 2 o'clock last Friday afternoon with Reverend Leon Nelson officiating. Pallbearers were J.J., C.E.,E.R., R.C., and A.R. Robertson and Hollis Hale. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

John , the son of Ezekiel and Frances (Marion) Raynie, was born February 15, 1884, in Todd County, Kentucky, where he grew to manhood and married Naoma Belle Robertson in 1907. To this union were born seven children, two of whom preceded him in death, Rachael May died at the ge of 4 and Harold lost his life in the service of his country in the last war.

Survivoring besides his widow are three sons, Kenneth L. of Denver, Colorado, Doyle of Hawarden and Carroll of San Francisco; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Mott of Lead, South Dakota, and Mrs. Willis Frank of Hawarden; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Williams and Mrs. George Johnson of Greenville, Kentucky, and eight grandchildren.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawarden many years.
