Arthur L. Reekers, 68, of Orange City, died Thursday, June 25, at a Sioux City Hospital. Services were Monday, June 29, at the First Reformed Church, The Reverend Cecil Martens officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery.

Arthur Reekers, the son of Arie and Johanna (Pietenpol) Reekers, was born June 26, 1918, at Orange City. He married Margaret Schuller on June 1, 1946, in Orange City. The couple farmed until retiring in 1986. He was a lifelong Sioux County resident. He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Arie of Lawton; three daughters: Shirley Haupert of Jefferson, Sylvia Le Master of Vermillion, and Ruth of Sheridan; a brother, John, of Orange City and five grandchildren.
