SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. REEFF AT GRANVILLE

Funeral services for Mrs. John P. Reeff, 88, if Granville were held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Wednesday, with Reverend N.J. Becker officiating at the Requiem Mass.

Mrs. Reeff died Saturday at her home following a lingering illness. Josephine Schroeder was born July 14, 1872 at Heiderscheid, Luxembourg.

Josephine married John P. Reef in 1898 in Luxembourg.

John, Josephine and their children came to the US in 1922 from Luxembourg. They arrived in New York City, New York on July 10, 1922 on the ship S.S. Kroonland departing from Antwerp, Belgium. They resided at Earling, Iowa, before moving to Alton. In November of 1938, they moved to Granville where they had since resided.

Josephine and John are the parents of eight children which all surviving: five sons, Mike of Seattle, Washington; Anton of Granville; John of Alton; Nicholas of St. Louis, Missouri and M/Sgt. Nick of Glendale, Arizona; three daughters, Sister Mary Acuta of Cudahy, Wisconsin; Sister Mary Vincetta of Bow Valley, Nebraska; and Josephine, Mrs. Ekke Heidebrink of Worthington, Minnesota; a sister, and a brother, 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
