Word was received here that Herbert Ranschau passed away at a Sioux Falls Hospital.

Herbert was the son of Christian and Wanda (Wench) Ranschau. He grew up in this vicinity and later moved to Humboldt, South Dakota, where he farmed. He was married to Evelyn Ranschau. They are the parents of Gary Ranschau and Dorothy Mae Ranschau.

Burial took place at Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery Friday afternoon.
