William Frederick Ranschau, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ranschau, was born April 14, 1913, in Plato Township. He was accidentally killed Wednesday, July 26, 1939, when he fall four stories while repairing the roof if the Rogers Memorial Sanatorium on Nashtotak Lake near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Besides his parents he leaves to mourn four brothers and five sisters. They are: Mrs. Marvin Smith of Lester, Karl Ranschau and Mrs. Minnie Pulscher of Milwaukee, Henry J., Herman, John, Mrs. Joe Bantz, Alma and Emma of this vicinity.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 28, at 1:00 o’clock in the home and 2:00 o’clock in Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Beyer officiating. Burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.
