Mrs. Reindert Oostra died March 27 at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gorter, Sr. She had reached the age of 87 years, and has made her daughter for 16 years. She had only been sick a few days.

On May 16, 1891, Roelofje De Boer was married to Reindert Oostra and to this union two children were born: John Oostra from Rock Valley and one daughter, Annie (Mrs. Lawrence Gorter) of Doon.

In March, 1898, they came to the United States and made their home in this vicinity, living near and in Hull till her husband died on June 9, 1939.

She is survived her son, John Oostra from Rock Valley and daughter, Annie , (Mrs. Lawrence Gorter) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was laid to rest at Hope Cemetery, Hull, Sioux County, Iowa.
