Fred Ebel died at his home in Granville Sunday evening at 11:30 as a result of cancer of the bowels. He had been in poor health for the last several years and for about the last four months has been almost constantly bedfast. The deceased was born in Cook county, Ill., February 19, 1865. He came to Granville twenty-five years ago and engaged in the livery and implement business. On November 27, 1892 he was married to Miss Sophia Klunder at Germantown. Five children were born to this union, all of them living. They are Mrs. J. Jagodzinske of Fairmont, Minn., Clara, Richard, Edna and Olivia at home. He is also survived by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. Mr. Ebel was a man highly respected as a businessman and a citizen of Granville. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran church at Paullina Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock. Interment was made in Prairie View cemetery. The brothers and sisters who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. W. Breilbarth, Mrs. Adam Breilbarth and Christ Ebel of Truman, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. John Siebrandt of Beemer, Nebr.
