Died: June 30, 1981Harold Oldenkamp, 43, of Sioux Center, died June 30 in rural Ireton of an apparent heart attack.
Services were held July 3 at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley. The Reverend Frank Snuttjer officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley.
Mr. Oldenkamp was born October 6, 1937, in Rock Valley. He was graduated from Rock Valley High School.
He married Darlyn Reck October 21, 1977, in Sioux Falls.
He had been the manager of supermarkets in Sheldon, Algona, Luverne, Minnresota, and Flandreau, South Dakota. He also had done construction work in the Rock Valley area.
His parents and a brother, Sidney, preceded him in death.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Randy, of Mitchell: a daughter, Mrs. David (Kathy) Bennett of Flandreau; two stepsons, David Reck of Worthington and Allen Reck of Little Rock; two brothers, John of Canton and George of Alvord, and three grandchildren.
