From the Boyden Reporter, January 2, 1930:

HENRIETTA MORET

Henrietta Moret died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Moret, on December 29th, at three o’clock in the morning, at the age of fifteen years, five months and three days, being born on July 24, 1914, at the parental home, one mile west of Boyden. The cause of her death is not known.

Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday at 12:45, and one-thirty o’clock in the First Reformed church. Rev. Brink from Boyden and Rev. Roetman from Newkirk had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Boyden cemetery.

This is the second tragedy within the Moret family circle in scarcely a year, as a younger daughter died suddenly. Henrietta had been ill but for a short time, having even been present at the Christmas services of the First Reformed church, where she was a part of the program.

The parents and relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in the loss of their daughter Henrietta.

From the Alton Democrat, January 3, 1930, Orange City news:

Mr. and Mrs. H. De Groot were called to Boyden Thursday by the serious illness of their granddaughter, Henrietta Moret. The patient grew worse and passed away Saturday night. She was 15 years old. The funeral took place Tuesday at Boyden, many from here attending.

Her death certificate has Henrietta Margaret Moret, born at Boyden July 24, 1913; parents John Moret and Nellie De Groot; died at 1:15 a.m. December 29, 1929; cause, acute glomonerular[?] nephritis; contributory cause, pneumonia.
