Johnson, Martin H. born 15 May 1885 died Iowa Jun 1963, buried Grace Hill cemetery Hawarden IA wife was Esther H. Couldn’t find an obit for Martin, may have died elsewhere, his wife died at Council Bluffs in 1960.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martin Johnson of Council Bluffs,53, were conducted Tuesday afternoon in the Barnard Funeral home by Rev. O.F. Pittack pastor of Trinity Lutheran church. Interment was at Grace Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died of a heart attack at the Council Bluffs hospital Thursday.

Esther Helene, daughter of Adolph Witt and Maria nee Schaefer was born at Hawarden March 27, 1907 and became a member of the Lutheran church through baptism on April 28, 1907 administered by Rev. W.C. Rehwaldt first resident pastor. When she was about 10 years of age she moved with her parents from the farm into their new home in Hawarden. On March 28, 1932 she married Martin H. Johnson of Hawarden in Dakota City, Neb. In August 1947, she moved to council Bluffs where she attended the services of St. John's Lutheran church.

Mrs. Johnson became ill only recently and spent the past two weeks in a hospital in Council Bluffs where she died last Thursdsay. A short prayer services was conducted in the funeral parlors in Council Bluffs last Saturday by Rev. Wicklund of St. John's Lutheran church of that city.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Arthur in military service in France during World War I, and Fritz in Califronia; a sister Eda Knaust at Monte Rose, Minn. and a stillborn son Leander.

Survivors are the husband, Martin and a daughter, Kaye Boyer, both of Council Bluffs; a brother, Robert Witt of Bellflower, Calif. and two sisters Eva Heuer and Martha Anderson, both of Hawarden
