Erma Fay Mollhoff, 80, of Hawarden, died February 25, 1989, at Hawarden Hospital.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 28, 1989, at 1:30 P.M., at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with Reverend Paul Hansen officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery, at Hawarden, under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Harry Kratochvil, Richard Kratochvil, Cyril Wagers, Fred Hoogestraat, B. N. Brown and Elmer Johnson.

Erma Fay Mollhoff, the daughter of Ray and Myrtle Napier Rhodes, was born near Sloan on April 22, 1908.

She attended school at Hawarden. On February 16, 1927, she was united in marriage to William Mollhoff at Hawarden. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Karel Mollhoff, of Odebolt; two daughters, Barbara Halsor, of Cedar Falls and Mrs. E.J. (Beverly) Eaton of Martin, Tennessee; two sisters, Mae Witt of Dubuque and Iva Wagner, of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, Merton Rhodes of Dubuque; six grandchildren, Todd and Heather Eaton; Teresa, Tyleen and Travis Mollhoff and Greg Halsor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William on February 8, 1974.
