Funeral services were held Saturday, May 13th, at 2:00 P.M. at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon for George Mlazgar, 74 years, a long time Boyden resident. Reverend J.W. Irwin of the United Presbyterian Church of Boyden officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Ingalls of Sheldon sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “No Night There,” with Mrs. Leonard Postma as organist.

Pallbearers were Arlo Zimmerman, Case De Roon, Larry Salmon, Wilbur Heemskirk, Ray Smit and Gerard Van Es, all members of the Boyden Fire Department, of which Mr. Mlazgar was a member for many years. Interment was made in the Boyden Cemetery.

Mr. Mlazgar was born December 5, 1886 at Streeter, Illinois and passed away on May 10, 1961 at the Sheldon Community Hospital where he had been a patient for five and a half months.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Mary Mlazgar and son Ray and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tomacko of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs. Clara Cramer of Worthington, Minnesota; and Mr. and Mrs. Don Carlberg of Lohrville.
