Emma Margaretha Moeller, nee Kruse, was born October 20, 1883, near Boyden, Iowa, daughter of Fredrich and Margaretha Kruse. She was baptized on November 11, 1883 by Reverend C. Hast. She attended the public schools as well as the parochial school and was confirmed April 3, 1898 by Reverend William Baetke in St. John’s Church near Boyden; in this church she served as organist for a while. She was always ready and willing to be of service and cared for the children and the household duties at the parsonage for some time.

On August 13, 1915 she joined in Holy wedlock with Ferdinand Moeller from Kanaranzi, Minnesota. Being a kind and sympathetic nature, she often found occasion to help others. She also cared for her mother-in-law and father-in-law who became invalids in their advanced years and who made their home with them.

Mrs. Moeller succumbed in injuries received in an auto accident when the car she was riding in and driven by her husband, and a car driven by Herman Venekamp, collided on Saturday evening August 29, 1942 about 7:30 P.M.
