Ferdinand Johannes Moeller was born August 27, 1890 at Schwarzburg, Holstein, Germany, and it was here in earliest infancy that he was baptized in the Ev. Lutheran Church. He attended the public school and duly received religious instruction after which he was confirmed at the age of 14. Very soon after his confirmation he alone emigrated to America and settled near Ash Creek, Minnesota. On August 13, 1915 he was married to Emma Kruse of Boyden, Iowa. Five children were born to this union, of whom one preceded in death.

Mr. Moeller was killed instantly, at the age of 52 years and 2 months, when two cars collided northeast of Pipestone, Minnesota, on Saturday evening, August 29, 1942 at about 7:30 P.M. One of the cars was being driven by himself, the other car being driven by Herman Venekamp.
